Sharp announces a pair of CCDs with
PAL and
NTSC resolutions, with improved IR sensitivity. The company also registered tow trademarks "iSHCCD II" and "iSHartina". "iSHCCD II" is said to be an advanced CCD that drastically improves light efficiency by including near infrared light region in a basic structure of "iSHCCD". The "iSHartina" series is said to be a key device group of Sharp which realizes a next-generation sensing world.
